I made my first simple bass guitar pickup in 2001. It was crude and didn't sound that great, but it worked. Since then, I have spent a lot of time learning how to improve upon my first experience. Just in the past few years the amount and type of information on "how to make pickups" has blossomed. I figured it was about time that I gave something back to the Internet community. Most of the information on this site can be found elsewhere on the Internet, but I think I have a few things to add!

(Edit: 2016-02-07 - This site has not been maintained for a long time. It remains with minor edits because people still download use the programs on this webite.) This site is a work in progress. I usually tend to go to great lengths to make sure my websites are as "multi-browser compatible" as possible. However, these days there are many different Internet browsers, and they all tend to act different. To save time I decided to design for just a couple common browsers: Mozilla 5 and Internet Explorer 6. (I chose these two because they tend to access my site 10x-100x times more often than other browsers.) If the site is hard to read, or it looks funny, I recommend upgrading/changing browsers. If you don?t want to change browsers (I don?t blame you) you can try switching over to "Low-Fi" mode. (If your browser can take it? I recommend you stay with the default "Hi-Fi" mode!)
